Introduction
What is an Intersections dialogue?
Intersections dialogues are focused discussions on issues raised by our events and projects. They allow members to exchange thoughts and opinions with each other through text, images or video. Within dialogues members can generate new strands of discussion or respond to existing strands. You must be a member to take part in dialogues. To become a member go here. If you have seen something on the site you want to discuss further, suggest a focus for dialogue here.

Obligations of public art, discuss
Public art has no obligation to be anything other than art
Public art, it seems, is deemed to have an obligation to 'the public' which extends far beyond the aesthetic - and the artist is then charged to deliver a brief, whether contractually or morally - for obligations can be both - that engages with, responds to and ultimately ticks the boxes of a range of stakeholders. Many artists work to subvert and counter this type of practice but our funding system arguably propagates particular types of public art and public artist.
