About me
Stone carver, talents obscured by clouds of dust. Much of my work has been based on traditional figurative carving skills, but during a late-in-life MA at Northumbria I got interested in evolution, evolutionary computing and pushing my understanding of geometry a little further than Euclid (although, heaven knows, Euclid has some fancy stuff to say...)
Currently wondering how to make cheap devices for carving stone that will save my ageing elbows from collapse. Machine creativity - hmmmm...
The image I picked is of the toolbox that my Grandad made for me. Making toolkits is probably a good metaphor for the sort of engagement project that often goes with art in the public sphere? For more about stone carving tools see my web site - comments welcome!
